Weight Loss
This diet is on hold! I am PREGGERS!
I've always been at least chubby if not out right fat. It's never really bothered me, I'm happy enough in my self to not put too much pressure on myself to have the next lower dress size.
That said, during my second pregnancy I was warned that (since I had borderline Gestational Diabetes) I may be at risk of developing diabetes in the future. So I have to start eating better, and getting slimmer & fitter for the sake of my health.
I've always been a Weight Watchers girl. I really can't be doing with going to the meetings. Finding time with the kiddies is just too much like hard work, and dieting for me is hard enough. So I'm doing it on-line, and Mark is sort of doing through me.
The Food Bit
Sort term I am cutting back on the junk. I have pin-pointed the times I am high risk of pigging out:
- In the car coz we have sweets for Jack and it becomes "one for Jack, one for Mummy"
- Cooking. I nibble while I cook.
- Bedtime. I usually grab a bowl of sugary cereal or toast when I go to bed.
- When the kids go down for their nap. I like to relax with a snack before having a tidy up
- When I am sad, upset or depressed
- When I am board
Simply not having snacks or sugary cereal in the house used to be enough to stamp on a lot of that, but now I keep them for the kids (who are very active and slim and can afford to eat them).
Now I actually have to find the will power not to have them when they are readily available. I need to convince myself I would be "stealing" from my kids if I did eat the. That should guilt me out of it!
Other than that, smaller portions of the usual food should cover it because we do eat healthy food for meal times.
Next.... fitness
And I HATE excersise. But we do now have a Wii with Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sport, Wii Sport Resort so I can try to have fun with it.
My aim is to get 30mins to an hour at least 4 times a week to start with. My time is limited because I have to fit around the kids and all the other things I can only do when they are in bed but I want to work it so that I do one evening on the Wii and the next doing other stuff and then back on the Wii the next etc.
I'll jump on it every chance I get anyway.
