Crafty Old Me!

Way way back in 2000 I graduated from University with a BA in Fine Art. And I can safely say I have pretty much NEVER used it. Terrible isn't it!?

Well I plan to change that! And while my creative side may have taken a decisively more domestic route, it is still creative. SO I am diving into sewing, and crochet, and baking, and even a little painting from time to time.

Painting and Cross Stitch have been my creative outlets on and off for a long time, I find them relaxing and a nice way to make a special gift for someone I care about. Baking is something I'm starting to take a little more seriously now I have more mouths to feed and I am really looking forward to doing this WITH my kids. The crochet is new... and not very good at them moment but it's my pet project for 2010 so lets just see where that goes.

I've lumped DIY onto here as well since we're changing the house a lot over the next 6 - 12 months and will hopefully be finishing the kitchen this year too (which we started in April 2008).
