Baking
I don't pretend to be the worlds greatest baker.... but I do LOVE cakes and biscuits and so on....
I plan to do a lot more baking soon, especially once Jack is old enough to join in (and our other kids in turn). I have recently discovered silicone bun cases and they have made a huge difference to the rise I get from my buns (!) so I am itching to get a few more silicone baking bits. I'd quite like to bake Jack's birthday cake this year and I'm pondering different cake tin shapes.
In the meantime.... here is a Victoria Sponge I made a while back. As usual it doesn't look much but I tasted GREAT!

Roasting
It's not a recipe page, just some stuff I like to do.
I try very hard to do a roast on a Sunday. I can never remember cooking times, so if it's not conveniently on the packaging (like when I get to the butchers rather than the supermarket) I use this as a guide:
Yummy Roast Chicken
I like to garlic and herb chicken, so I rub the chicken all over with garlic puree and then rub in some herb, usually oregano and marjoram. It's also nice if you scatter a few herbs over the roasties too!
